Running as admin: Turn off UAC

By doing this you turn off all the extra security that Vista has.
That means the windows that pop up every time you do ANYTHING to ask you if you're really sure.
For your ease of mind in using StoxEV but more importantly Vista in general, I recommend turning this feature off.

I found it a bit hard to find first time around so I've added some screenshots.
Unfortunately I only have them in Dutch, but that shouldn't be a problem.
I'm just showing you where to click:

Go to control panel:


User accounts:

Again user accounts:


Change your security settings (last in the list):


Turn off UAC


You will now need to reboot.

 

If for some reason you do not wish to turn off UAC you can also set everything manually.
